What Is A Maid Cafe?

A Maid Cafe is essentially a cosplay tea party service! Initially popular in Japan, patrons can expect cute and yummy foods and drinks served by modestly costumed Maid & Butler Staff, and enjoy entertainment such as tabletop games, jpop & kpop dances, themed activities, and socialization from both our staff and fellow tablemates.

It is similar to a Party Princess experience except we are our own characters and we typically provide catering and everything needed for the event.

Where Are You Located?

We are currently a Pop Up shop! You will find us travelling around the Eastern US to various events throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Most of our events are typically in major North Carolina cities, and we do branch out occasionally to N.C.'s surrounding states.

Maybe one day we will settle in our own store, but for now we will keep travelling!

How Do I Book You For An Event?

Interested in getting us to host a Maid Cafe at your upcoming event? You can email us or send us an Instagram message with your event details, then we can check if we're able and available to work with you at your event!

We most often work with Anime Conventions, Japanese Culture Festivals, and Anime/Kawaii Themed Markets but we also work with tea shops & cafes for smaller pop ups. We simply ask for a free space (indoor or outdoor!) to host the cafe as an event/activity for your attendees where we'll charge customers to cover our costs. OR We can host a birthday party or other occasion as a private booking at a flat rate.

How Do I Buy A Ticket For An Upcoming Event?
  1. Visit our Home page to view our upcoming events, then select the event you're interested in attending.
  2. Add the desired session ticket for the event to cart.
  3. You can find our Additional Products page to add on anything you may want during your time with us including drinks and snacks off our menu, or goodies to take home such as convention-only merch, tea party bags, etc.
  4. Then head to check out to complete your order!
When Can I Expect My Online Merch Order?

Some merch is only available for shipping and not available at our events as we test out some merch items via drop-shipping with Gelato. If you wish to order these items that is fine - just know they will not be able to be picked up at an upcoming event.

Gelato typically fulfills and ships an order within 7 business days of an order. You may receive your order up to 21 business days after your initial order date.

Currently, we only accept orders within the US - this is partly due to the ongoing increased tarrifs, and it also reduces shipping costs to remain within the US.

How Do I Apply To Work With You?

We hire limitedly as positions open. You can expect us to open applications around our busy convention seasons in the Spring & Fall. When we do hire, we will post about it on our Instagram page - and you'll find our application link on our dot. digital business card!

Please keep in mind some of our general requirements and expectations to work with us:

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Be a legal resident either North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia.
  • All staff are hired as 1099 contractors - this means you can pick when you want to work and will need to file and pay for your taxes for the year, which is just fine as an occasional fun part time job :)
  • Must have reliable transportation. We travel all over the Carolinas and occasionally to Virginia - this means you need to be able to either drive yourself to events often outside of your city, or be able to take a train and Uber/Lyft.
  • We prefer candidates that either have similar maid cafe or party princess experience, OR a mixture of experience in food service, customer service, and relevant social entertainment skills.
  • Further requirements may be expressed in the hiring application.

We welcome you to sponsor Galaxy Dreams Maid Cafe and gain additional advertising for your business!

Galaxy Dreams Maid Cafe is a women-owned and lead cosplay tea party business - dare we say the best in the Carolinas! Our staff are passionate about performing well for their guests and ensuring every customer enjoys their time with us. We offer our guests tea service, Japanese or specialty snacks, easy tabletop games, and a special activity which may be a jpop or kpop dance, or something themed to match our event. We often serve friend groups, couples, and families at events such as anime conventions, Japanese culture or similar festivals, kawaii art markets, and the occasional boba tea shop.

Get your brand out there to plenty of new potential customers! The majority of our events take place spanning from Virginia, through North Carolina, and down to South Carolina! You will certainly be noticed by our hundreds of customers throughout the month, as well as the thousands of convention attendees that stop by our booth, and the thousands of people who view our social media and ticketing pages!

How do I become a Sponsor?

Send us an email ! Introduce yourself, let us know what sponsorship deal you are interested in, adn we'll go from there. :) You can expect a response email within 72 business hours.

Sponsorship : Web Banners Package

Get noticed using our website! Increase your exposure to a thousand fans browsing the site throughout the month. Your banner will be on the main page of our ticket website, and at the bottom of each ticket page for events in the next four weeks.

What is a banner? A graphic that includes your logo & a short blurb on company info or your slogan/ mission statement & website (or a QR to your website).

-Price: $100/mo-

Sponsorship: Social Media Package

Our Instagram and Facebook are seen by thousands of accounts every month. We have almost 1.3k followers via organic growth (so no bot accounts!) on our Instagram, and we push ads through Instagram for our events weekly, making our account seen by 10k+ accounts on avg every month. We recently made a new Facebook page, and thus doesn’t have a many followers, but we do use the Events function to make all events more visible, and we advertise through various events groups. You can be seen widely too! We can make a special sponsor highlight post, and be included as an info slide on at least two of our event ads within the next four weeks.

-Price: $150/mo-

Sponsorship: General Advertsing Package

Combining some features of the previous two options, including : A special sponsor highlight post and a logo banner on our main page ticketing website, then adding your logo to all of our printed promo materials such as fliers and and printed menus for our events. This option ensures multiple avenues of advertising to get the most reach.

-Price: $250/per month (avg 3-6 events)-

Sponsorship: Warm Drinks Provider

Provide us with teas, coffees, and/or cocoa to serve to our attendees. In return, we will advertise your logo on our printed & online menu as our provider/maker of the products, as well as on our ticketing site, make a highlighted social media post, and have your product (or image of) in our sponsor display at our event booths!

-Price: materials for the teas, coffee, and/or cocoa, as well as cute hot disposable cups or washable tea dishes to serve the drinks in-

- Term length negotiable as long as the supplies last . Could be 1-6 months or longer depending on stock-

Sponsorship: Asian Snacks or Baked Goods Provider

Provide us with snacks or sweets to serve to our attendees, and in return your logo will be advertised on both our online and printed event menus, our ticketing site, and we’ll make a highlighted social media post and add your product (or image of) in our sponsor display on our booth at our events!!

Price: materials for the snacks or sweets, as well as cute disposable plates or washable dishes to serve the snacks or sweets with-

- Term length negotiable as long as supplies last. Could be 1-3 months or longer depending on stock-

Sponsorship: Apparel Provider

Provide our staff with apparel suitable for a maid cafe (accessories/shoes/aprons/maid dresses)

In return we will list you as our apparel sponsor in both our online and printed menus at events, our ticketing website, and we’ll make a highlighted social media post and add your product (or image of) in our sponsor display on our booth at our events!!

Price: Providing us with the apparel products agreed upon and/or offered.

The Stats That Matter: Website Traffic

Below is a snapshot of event online traffic. It of course varies upon event, where the smaller event ended up with 427 views, and the larger events ended up with 698 and 1036 views, respectively.
